Day Three - Beacon

I forgot to upload this one last night, but it's just as well because I can't take a picture tonight.

We have two menorahs, and the far one is stacked on some tins (we are classy) so it can be seen from outside. The whole point of a menorah (well, one of the points) is the fact it's supposed to be a beacon in the darkness, a light in the midst of winter. It's a flame in the cold snowy months, and a spark of hope in a cold exile. Aaaaand that's one of the reasons why we have Chanukah in the winter.

It's really nice seeing the neighborhood's menorahs walking down the block. In some places they put theirs on the doorstep with a glass box around it to protect it from the elements.
